New Work

Now that I've settled into my new home, I have time to work on art again!  The white pods are made of polymer clay and the inserts are embroidery on timtex.  Lots of french and bullion knots!

 

 

 

Word of the day

Working on new jewelry for the Holidays. Rhodolite, stitchtite, lots of green stones. I will be working on some silver components this weekend.

ice storm

we had an ice storm over the weekend and this is our maple tree coated in ice and snow.

New piece

so this is something new I've been working on. the colored boxes are fabric that has been dipped in wax. I'm going to put a white fabric box around each colored box and maybe a wooden barrier between each box as well.

This is an embroidery piece I did last year. It's done with pearl cotton on hand-dyed cotton. Most of the stitches are french knots.
